Final Fantasy I RTA

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible.

Final Fantasy I Single Segment (SS)

Resetting is not allowed. RNG must be reset before the start.

Final Fantasy II any%

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible.

Final Fantasy III glitched, no job glitch

All glitches are allowed except job glitch.

Final Fantasy III any%

A series of prerequisite actions are performed in game which allow the player to skip to the credits without defeating the last boss.

Final Fantasy IV any% (die hard%)

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible. On Super Nintendo, this category includes the 64 door glitch, a major glitch that allows skipping most of the second half of the game.

Final Fantasy IV any% no 64 door glitch (RTA)

Anything is allowed except the 64 door glitch used in any%.

Final Fantasy IV Single Segment (SS)

Resetting the game, or abuse of the 64 door glitch, is not allowed.

Final Fantasy IV "glitchless"

Mist clip, MP Underflow, Item Underflow, and the Crystal Skip are all banned. You may also may not bounce spells off the party using reflect if it will allow you to skip boss forms such as with the 4 fiends fight in the Giant of Babil.

Final Fantasy V any%

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible.

Final Fantasy VI any%

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible. This includes joker-doom slot glitches, the Vanish-Doom trick, and using sketch both to acquire items and also to wrong warp to the World of Ruin.

Final Fantasy VI any% no sketch glitch

Anything is allowed except for the sketch glitch, completing the game as fast as possible. This includes joker-doom slot glitches and the Vanish-Doom trick.

Final Fantasy VI any% no wrong warp

Anything is allowed except for using the wrong warp to skip completing the Floating Continent, completing the game as fast as possible. This includes joker-doom slot glitches and the Vanish-Doom trick.

Final Fantasy VI "glitchless"

Using slots and the Vanish-Doom trick is not allowed, neither is clipping through NPCs. This is a category which exists for doing a "normal" run of this game, so not half of every boss is killed by Joker-Doom.

Final Fantasy VII RTA

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible. This is the category which uses Cait Sith's slots limit-break throughout the game. In the Japanese run the Midgar-skip is not allowed.

Final Fantasy VII no slots

Using Cait Sith's slots limit-break is not allowed. You could call this a "glitchless" run although it does break sequence. Also a category which is more or less "normal".

Final Fantasy VII Yuffie Warping

This is a PC-only category where the game is broken and beaten very fast using the YW glitch.

Final Fantasy VIII any% (RTA)

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible. This category resets the game to manipulate RNG. This is used only once throughout the run in disc 1.

Final Fantasy VIII Single Segment (SS)

Resetting is not allowed.

Final Fantasy IX any%

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible.

Final Fantasy IX any% with Turbo controller

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible. A turbo controller is also allowed for this category.

Final Fantasy X any%

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible.

Final Fantasy X No Mix

Use of Rikku's Overdrive to mix items is not allowed.

Final Fantasy X-2 any%

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible. The Japanese "No Catnip" doesn't allow the Catnip accessory.

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible.

Final Fantasy XIII any%

Anything is allowed, completing the game as fast as possible. In the Japanese run Deceptisol cancelling is not allowed.

Normal mode, all DLC except costumes are banned. Crystarium glitch is banned.
